Time/Place: 2024 in Mali
Mass: 294g

History: The meteorite was purchased from a dealer in Mali.
Physical characteristics: Grayish fragment partly covered with fusion crust.
Petrography: Achondritic melt breccia composed of up to 7 mm sized thoroughly recrystallized clasts set in abundant, finely crystallized melt rock matrix. The clasts consist of numerous about 5-20 µm sized low-Ca pyroxene, augite, and calcic plagioclase subgrains. Minor phases include chromite, ilmenite, and troilite. No metal detected.
Geochemistry: low-Ca pyroxene: Fs38.8±0.3Wo3.4±0.2??(Fs38.4-39.0Wo3.2-3.9, FeO/MnO=27-29, n=7); Ca-pyroxene: Fs15.4±0.8Wo44.2±0.9??(Fs14.9-17.4Wo42.1-44.8, FeO/MnO=22-26, n=7); calcic plagioclase: An94.6±0.5??(An93.8-95.5, n=7)

Fantastic eucrite with huge translucent clasts that looks like quartz.
