Classification: Eucrite-melt breccia, S-high, W-moderate
Place/Time: 2024 in Libya
Mass: 2kg
History: The meteorite was purchased from a dealer in Libya.
Physical characteristics: Light grayish-brownish rock partly covered with fusion crust.
Petrography: Achondritic melt breccia composed of cm-sized bulk rock clasts and up to 800 µm sized mineral fragments separated by dark melt-rock matrix. Main minerals are strongly recrystallized low-Ca pyroxene, augite, and calcic plagioclase many of which consist of numerous about 20-50 µm sized subgrains. Several bulk rock clasts retained intersertal textures with often lath-shaped feldspar grains. Minor phases include chromite, ilmenite, and troilite. No metal detected.
